ABOUT US
Mangrove Arts Africa is a non-profit organization that works at the intersection of art, literacy, education, and social change.
In many communities across Liberia, access to both quality education and creative expression remains limited. Mangrove Arts Africa exists to change that.
Our work centers on young people, their voices, their stories, and their possibilities. We design writing and arts programs for students across diverse socioeconomic backgrounds, while directly supporting those most vulnerable through educational funding. Through creative writing, performance, and community-based learning, we build spaces where imagination becomes power and expression becomes agency.
Like the mangrove tree, we believe in deep roots and interconnected systems, where communities sustain one another, and creativity becomes a source of resilience and growth.
